Background 

Katherine works as an Office Manager and wanted to expand her career beyond administration. She felt she had reached a ceiling in her role and wanted to move into something new that better matched her organisational strengths. 

To support this transition, she enrolled on the Project Management Programme with ITOL Recruit to gain formal qualifications and open new career opportunities. 

Training Experience 

Katherine completed PRINCE2® Foundation and PRINCE2® Practitioner certifications. She valued the clear structure of the courses and the ability to study at her own pace while still having access to consistent tutor support. 

A standout part of her experience was the guidance from her tutor, Ryan, who supported her throughout exam preparation and helped her stay motivated, especially during the Practitioner exam. 

Applying the Skills at Work 

The training gave Katherine the confidence to move into project management alongside her existing role. She was able to take on consultant project management responsibilities and begin freelance work, applying PRINCE2® principles directly in real projects. 

The structured approach helped her organise work more effectively and confidently manage projects independently. 

Life After ITOL Recruit 

Katherine now works as both an Office Manager and a freelance Consultant Project Manager. The qualifications enabled her to expand her career without leaving her current role and gave her the confidence to take on new professional challenges.
